“The price of indifference towards public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”― Plato
Through my teaching I seek to further professionalize and democratize European public affairs practices. I endeavor to help students grow into confident and competent academic professionals. My teaching integrates academic expertise, research methodology and professional public affairs skills. The three thematic focus areas of my academic teaching are (1) EU politics, policy and institutions, (2) interests representation and (3) political methodology. I am currently the program director of the MA European Public Affairs.
I closely cooperate with public affairs professionals to prepare students for the job market in European Public Affairs. Most of my former students now hold positions such as political advisor, campaigner, journalist, public affairs manager or researcher. I am happy to circulate relevant vacancies for internships or junior positions to my students. Enquiries about PhD supervision or our part-time PhD program can be directed to myself or to UM Campus Brussels respectively.
